This is a credibility area, not the whole business — but if you've got a Hikvision/HiLook system playing up, it's well within scope.

FAQ

Common Questions

Why is my Hikvision camera offline?

Common causes are a network/IP change, a router swap, a power-over-ethernet fault, or a Hik-Connect account/verification issue. I check the local network first, then the app side.

Why won't Hik-Connect work after I changed my router?

A new router resets the network settings the recorder relies on. Hik-Connect then can't reach the device. Reconnecting the recorder and re-establishing remote access fixes it.

Hikvision playback not working — what's wrong?

Usually a recording-schedule, storage or hard-drive issue, or the wrong search settings. I check whether it's actually recording and why playback can't find footage.
